Brewing time!

We love filter coffee, which is why we have a whole line of roasted coffee for the filter. What is the difference with roasted coffee for espresso? As the extraction time is much longer when preparing filter coffee, too much bitterness must be avoided. The desired result is something more subtle and delicate. Indeed, an espresso is extracted in 25 seconds on average, whereas filter coffee takes between 2 and 3 minutes. The coffee is then roasted lighter, which means that it leaves the roaster at a lower temperature. The longer the bean remains in the roaster, the darker it will be, the more bitter it will be and the less acidity it will have. For filter coffee, it is then a question of finding the right temperature to have a balanced drink, neither too acidic nor too bitter.
